Togo Atsia is the most difficult piece Rhythms of Ghana has studied yet, and it was made even more challenging by learning the whole thing over Zoom. Big thanks (akpe kakaka) to featured artist Koblavi Delali for once again sharing these beautiful songs with us. Koblavi chose the second song to name the loneliness of living in Covid lockdown. In the lyrics, he’s saying he will feel satisfied and at peace, once he can finally connect with his brothers and sisters face to face and know that they are healthy. The Voces ensemble learned challenging Ewe songs to accompany this piece.
