The Muze: Vintage Vinyl

Please join us for our 2024 Gala, The Muze! It will be an amazing mix of live performances, great food and beverages. We’ll honor ZUMIX community members Steven Snyder and Juan Gutierrez with our Luminary Awards, and cap it off with a post-dinner dance party!

Ticket Tiers and Start Times

6 pm: VIP performance + VIP Reception + Main Event ($400 per person)

7:30 pm: Main Event starts ($150 per person)

8:30 pm: Dance Party (included with each level of ticket)

Event Schedule

6 pm: Doors Open and VIP reception

6:30 pm: VIP Performance (featuring ZUMIX performers) with reception to follow

6:45 pm: Doors Open for those attending Main Event

7:30 pm: Main Event (featuring performances from ZUMIX youth)

8:30 pm: Dance Party kicks off

10 pm: We call it a night

Meet the Honorees

Steven Snyder is Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Development Officer at NeighborHealth, based in East Boston. He served on the ZUMIX board for several years (including a stint as board president) and continues to be a valuable friend and partner of ZUMIX.

Steven is also the leader of Eastie’s own Don’t Be Denied Band, whose lineup includes several ZUMIX alumni and former staff members. The band focuses on social justice and community and raises money for local charities. Steven is a proud East Boston resident.

Juan Gutierrez is a graduate of Boston Arts Academy, Boston University, and Suffolk University. He is a ZUMIX alum and former staff member who helped plan events, design programs, and amplify youth voices in the organization. He is an accomplished bassist and multi-instrumentalist and a founding member of Wild Painting, a highly successful ZUMIX ensemble. Currently, he works at the Mario Umana K-8 Academy in East Boston, and plays bass in Don’t Be Denied.
